About the Presenter
Denise Denton, Owner/President of D2, Inc., in Englewood, CO, has worked in rural health at the local, state, and national level for over 25 years. Most of this work was funded through grants; most of which she wrote.
Here are additional credentials:
- Developed the Colorado Governor’s Rural Health Care Grant Program; provide state with workshops for applicants; serve on the Program’s Advisory Committee
- Developed the Institute for Grant Writing for the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) – provided or arranged speakers for 10 interactive webinars, and provided on-site workshop for 20 students
- Presented many workshops in general grant writing for a wide variety of audiences including EMS agencies, public health departments, family resource centers, State Offices of Rural Health, hospital s, community groups, etc.
- Provided grant –specific workshops and technical assistance targeting federal grants (such as Rural Health Outreach), public health grants (such as cancer screening), and private foundation grants.
- Developed and coordinated statewide community-based grant writing for over 30 communities teaching grant writing, but letting them award small local grants.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations of grant awardees to determine progress and accomplishments for federal and state programs.
- Serve as reviewer for wide variety of federal, state, and private foundation grant programs.
