Join RHA for an eight week webinar series, "Health for All: A Language Inclusion Webinar Series," to discuss varying populations within our rural communities that experience a larger gap in health disparities. This webinar series will be held weekly beginning on February 29th at 11am CST and go through April 18th. Presentations will include the following: Rural Populations, Family Structure, Age and Ability, Domestic Violence Survivors, Gender and Sexual Orientation, Body Size and Weight, Substance Use Disorder, and Race and Ethnicity. Rural Populations, February 29th: The presentation on Rural Populations will be delivered by Robyn Seamon, with Appalachian Healthcare Training and Consulting. Family Structure, March 7th: The presentation on Family Structure will be delivered by Manda Kingsley, BSW, Camelot Care Centers Age and Ability, March 14th: More information will be available soon. Gender and Sexual Orientation, March 28th: This presentation will be delivered by Del Ray Zimmerman with Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Vanderbilt Program for LGBTQ Health. Body Size and Weight, April 4th: More information will be available soon. Substance Use Disorder, April 11th: This presentation will be delivered by Chipper Smith, MPH with Middle Tennessee State University's Office of Prevention Science and Recovery. Race and Ethnicity, April 18th: This presentation will be delivered by Elizabeth Hart, MS with From Hart to Heart Consulting. Domestic Violence Survivors, April 25th: This presentation will be delivered by Dr. Lisa Beasley and Dr. Andrea Sebastian with University of Tennessee Health Science Center Community and Population Health. |
