Christin McWhorter serves as the Senior Director of Membership for the Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHA). In this role, she leads statewide membership engagement, recruitment, retention and strategic outreach efforts while overseeing member initiatives, including RHA’s Annual Conference, the Tennessee Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Network Annual Summit and statewide educational and networking events. She also directs the Tennessee RHC Network, working alongside RHCs across the state to provide technical assistance related to regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, workforce development, value-based care readiness and strategies that strengthen care coordination and improve patient outcomes in rural communities. With more than 20 years of experience advocating for older adults and vulnerable populations, Christin brings extensive expertise in program development, community engagement, nonprofit leadership and rural healthcare initiatives. Prior to joining RHA, she served as a Community Outreach Manager, helping older adults and caregivers access resources and services that support aging in place. She also played a pivotal role in helping establish a charitable health center serving residents in the heart of East Chattanooga. Christin is a graduate of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She is a Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional (CRHCP) through the National Association of Rural Health Clinics and a certified leader for several nationally recognized evidence-based programs, including Mental Health First Aid and Powerful Tools for Caregivers. Most recently, Christin was appointed by Weston Wamp to serve on the advisory council for the Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging and Disability, representing Hamilton County. Known for her collaborative leadership style and passion for strengthening rural communities, Christin remains deeply committed to civic engagement, healthcare advocacy and building partnerships that improve access to care and resources across Tennessee.
