Dr. Madeline Mays has over 20 years of public health experience, with a focus on expanding access to care and strengthening partnerships between providers and communities. She currently serves as the Senior Director of Community Programs at the Rural Health Association of Tennessee, where she leads initiatives such as the HRSA Delta Region Maternal Health Grant—addressing maternal health deserts in rural areas—and the Tennessee Community Compass, both aimed at improving outcomes for underserved populations.


Previously, Dr. Mays served as the Community Outreach Manager at Wellpoint, a Managed Care Organization supporting TennCare members. In that role, she led efforts to improve access to care and address Social Determinants of Health (SDOH).


She holds a Doctor of Theology from Midwest College of Theology, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education with a concentration in Public and Community Health from Austin Peay State University. In addition to her professional work, Dr. Mays serves in various capacities within the Church of God in Christ as an Evangelist Missionary.


In her free time, she enjoys supporting church and community activities, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with a good movie.
