Wendy Stewart serves as a Resource Liaison for the Rural Health Association of Tennessee (RHA). In this role, she supports community-based organizations in building meaningful community connections and helps organizations understand how to effectively use Community Compass, a zip code-based social care resource network and closed-loop referral system, to better serve clients and strengthen daily workflows.

Wendy conducts both virtual and in-person trainings for groups of all sizes and provides ongoing technical assistance to help organizations maximize the platform’s impact for both staff and the individuals they serve. Her passion for helping vulnerable populations and ensuring individuals have access to the resources and support they need is at the heart of her work and continues to drive her commitment to strengthening communities across Tennessee.

Since graduating from Lee University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Wendy has spent more than 20 years serving others in the social services field. Her professional experience includes working in home health, community outreach, juvenile court, and assisting seniors with accessing resources that allow them to age in place with dignity and independence. As an Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) Specialist, Wendy is highly skilled in identifying community resources and connecting individuals with the support they need. She is especially passionate about advocating for individuals who may otherwise struggle to navigate complex systems and believes strongly in the power of compassionate, person-centered support.

Wendy and her husband of 25 years, Adam, are proud parents to Emily, who recently earned her master’s degree in criminal justice. Outside of work, Wendy enjoys traveling, reading, and is crazy about animals.
