Session Description: Tennessee Tech Center for Rural Innovation (TCRI)’s goal is to create companies and build economic development opportunities for Tennesseans. As such, TCRI has closely monitored the economic impact of COVID on Tennesseans and how using data and community partnerships, the state can recover and thrive moving forward.

Objectives:

  • Understand the economic and health impact of COVID on Tennessee, particularly in rural communities.
  • Review ways to leverage strategic partnerships to recover and strengthen rural communities through workforce development and innovation.
  • Identify sources of technical assistance, experiential work programs, and other resources to help boost rural communities.
