Session Description The COVID-19 pandemic forced schools, healthcare facilities, nursing homes, and medical academic centers to make rapid decisions on providing care, protecting employees and customers, and various policies. This session will provide a case study of lessons learned at an academic medical center, both successes and missteps.
Objectives:
- Explore the various areas that needed to change in the face of COVID
- Review a case study of an academic medical center’s COVID response including the time it took to make key changes, who had to be involved, and outcomes.
- Reflect on lessons learned and how they should be applied to other institutions
